The 2024 event will be held November 9-16, 2024, in Giddings, Texas. This year marks the 84th Annual National Retriever Championship! The dogs and handlers competing in this premier event are the very best in the world of performance retrievers! Congrats to all those Qualified for this National event, and best of luck to those participating!
Welcome to Giddings, Texas! Giddings is a small town located in the heart of Texas with a population around 5300 people. As their motto says "Experience Hometown Hospitality" ... you will find Giddings is full of country charm, heritage and history. It offers a taste of rural Texas, with all of the amenities you might expect from a quaint old town. The atmosphere here is relaxed, laid-back and is sure to make you feel welcome! The landscape is beautiful, located only about 55 miles east of Austin, it is actually about halfway in between both Austin and Houston, Texas. The average temps in November are typically in the 70's during the day and down into the 50's at night, which should be perfect for our event! ...
