10th Series – Water Quad
18 Dogs Started the 10th series.
We kicked off the10th series this morning with the parade of contestants. After we were all in place, the running of the test dogs started at 8:08 am. The first test dog to run was "Jake" with handler Michelle Visel and then next up was "Boogie" with handler Suzan Caire, giving the teams a preview of the challenges they would be facing in this large Water Quad.
The first running dog on for the 10th Series was #72. FC REDGATE’S COALFIRED YETI, “Yeti,” BLF, with handler Chris Ledford at 8:44 am.
The weather today started our test this morning at 63 degrees with overcast skies and a light 7 mph wind. As the day went on, we warmed up a bit, but conditions stayed mostly the same.

Our last running dog for this series was dog #70. FC-AFC HEARTBEAT’S SWEET GEORGIA PEACH QA2, “Peaches,” BLF, with handler Andrew Curtis. They finished the test and the series was completed at 1:40 pm.

There were 18 dogs sent from the line in this series, taking exactly 4 hours and 56 minutes, which averages out to be just under 16.5 minutes per dog.
The running of the 2024 National Retriever Championship is now complete.
