10th Series – Water Quad

The final day of the 2024 National Retriever Championship brings us back to Blackwater South. It is currently 63 degrees and overcast, with a 7 mph SE wind. It is expected to warm up to 79 degrees and stay overcast.

Series 10
Water Quad

The mat faces North, the wind blowing left to right at 7mph.

This water Quad is thrown: Middle, Right Retired, Right Flyer, Left Flyer.

Bird #1 is a hen pheasant, thrown angled back, right to left. It lands 295 yards from the mat. The throwers retire as soon as the dog is sent for the flyer. We will refer to this bird as MR for Middle Retired.

Bird #2 is a hen mallard, thrown left to right. It lands 195 yards from the mat, at the water’s edge. The throwers retire as soon as the dog is sent for the flyer. We will refer to this bird as RR for Right Retired.

Bird #3 is a Rooster pheasant flyer, shot left to right, landing 295 yards from the mat. We will refer to this bird as RF for Right Flyer.

Bird #4 is a Drake mallard flyer, shot left to right, landing 150 yards from the mat. We will refer to this bird as LF for Left Flyer.

This test is taking approximately 15-16 minutes to complete.
