1st & 2nd Series – Land Double and Land Blind

97 Dogs Started this Series

Test Dogs started out the day at 6:50 am, beginning with "Boogie" and handler Suzan Caire, then "Jake" with handler Michelle Visel. This gave the competitors a good idea of what they might expect for these first two series. 

Our first running dog #31. FC-AFC BLACK LABS MATTER II, “Brody,” BLM with handler John Schneider came to the line at 7:06 am and this National was officially underway!

The weather today was sunny with a high of around 77 degrees and a slight breeze.

Here is how things turned out for the 1st and 2nd Series…

No-Bird / Re-Run (18): 1 – 7 – 14 – 15 – 19 – 23(x2) – 24 – 37 – 45 – 47 – 51 – 53 – 61 – 62 –

Our last running dog for the day, and for Series 1 and 2 was dog #23. FC-AFC JIMAVICHE’S HOLLANDAISE JAMMER, “Jammer,” BLM, with handler Kenny Trott for a re-run. They completed the test at 4:33 pm.

97 dogs were sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 9 hours and 27 minutes, which averages out to be just under 6 minutes per dog. (however, the actual average is probably much less since we had a lot of No Birds)
